|
Hook: #6-2 Tiemco 811S or 800S.
Thread: Fine clear mono.
Eyes: Small or extra-small lead dumbbell eyes or medium bead chain, tied one eye length back from the hook eye.
Legs: 2 pumpkin or amber/gold Sili-Legs (2/3 length of hook shank).
Hackle: One ginger variant neck palmered along the hook shank to the dumbbell eyes.
Body: 2 pumpkin or amber/gold Sili-Legs wrapped along the hook shank to the dumbbell eyes.
Front Legs: 2 pumpkin or amber/gold Sili-Legs (1/2 length of hook shank).

Step 1. Tie in a set of small or x-small dumbbell eyes or bead chain with figure-eight wraps one eye length back from the hook eye.

Step 2. Tie in a Sili-Leg by making a loop and catching it on the bead chain eyes and stretching it rearward past the hook bend. Wrap the thread rearward from the dumbbell eyes to the bend. Trim to length.

Step 3. Attach a ginger variant neck hackle and two Sili-Legs at the bend.

Step 4. Wrap the two Sili-Legs forward to the dumbbell eyes and tie off. Take care not to pull to hard to on the Sili-Legs when wrapping as to retain its original diameter. Follow with the palmered hackle and trim the hackle fibers from the bottom of the fly.

Step 5. Tie in a Sili-Leg by making a loop and tying it in front of the dumbbell eyes with the loop facing forward. Clip the loop with scissors to form two legs. Trim to length.

Step 6. Whip finish and apply head cement to the dumbbell eyes and head area.
